Is CISGuard affiliated with the Center for Internet Security?
No. CISGuard is an independent product. CISGuard interoperates with CIS benchmark standards (which are published by the Center for Internet Security), but is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by CIS. CIS Benchmarks and CIS Controls are trademarks of the Center for Internet Security, Inc.
The longer answer.
CIS Benchmarks are published by the Center for Internet Security and can be used by any product that evaluates systems against them. CISGuard implements the checks for each supported benchmark version and reports results against the original CIS recommendation numbers, so every result can be traced back to the CIS document.
CISGuard does not claim CIS certification. The official CIS assessment tool is CIS-CAT Pro, which CIS provides to its SecureSuite members.
